Action!
Since September 12th we have done a number of events similar to those listed below. And we’ve got lots more to come. Especially now that we will be directing more of our efforts on the state level in 2010.
September 12th Action! About 35 Acadiana Patriots went all the way to D.C to join an estimated 2.2 million conservative Americans who gathered in the streets and surrounded the nations Capitol Building to send an un-deniable message to our Federal lawmakers! They were supported across the country by countless more who did the same at State Capitols. Closer to home, about 50 of us braved the rain to meet other Tea Party’ers on the steps of our Capitol in Baton Rouge.Afterward, we carried our signs and flags to LSU before the game and brought more attention to our cause.
August 27th Action! A bunch of our folks joined other Tea Parties to welcome Senator Landrieu again in Reserve. To say that it was an “interesting” event would be an understatement.
August 22nd Action! Approximately 150 people who showed up to protest at the Recess Rally were treated to a great surprise when Representative Charles Boustany swung by and ended up having an impromptu Town Hall right there in the park for over an hour.
August 9th Action! Over 150 people attended our latest general meeting held at the library to discuss moving the tea party forward. We have these meetings randomly and we encourage you to join in!
July 23rd Action! Some 150 of us tea party patriots counter-protested ACORN and SEIU at a “press conference” in Baton Rouge, again garnering media attention to our cause.
July 20th Action! With 4 members of the PRESIDENTS CABINET in Reserve, La., about 30 tea party patriots garnered a bit of national media attention simply by pointing out the “holes” in the Secretaries messages.
July 18th Action! Some of our die-hard folks made the drive to Biloxi to join the Gulf Coast TEA Party across the street from the GOVERNORS CONVENTION.
July 17th Action! Over 75 tea party folks showed up at Senator Landrieu and Senator Vitter’s office to hand deliver hundreds of letters and petitions concerning health care legislation.
July 4th Action! Around 1,600 Independence lovers withstood 104*searing heat to be a part of our first FREEDOM RALLY!
April 15th Action! Around 2,500 Americans showed up to be a part of the nation-wide TAX DAY TEA PARTY to express themselves against Washington’s insanity! In over 2,000 small and large cities across our nation, there were PEACEFUL ASSEMBLIES of concerned citizens referred to as T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already) Parties – reminiscent of the Boston Tea Party. These citizens were purposely mis-characterized and down-played by the media. And they were even mocked by Barry Soetoro, who now calls himself Barack Hussein Obama after growing up in the Muslim world and associating with people who openly blame America and strive to “fundamentally change” everything about this greatest of all countries, for the worse. Nonetheless, millions of fed-up Americans collectively voiced their discontent on the steps of their government buildings. And it was clear that these citizens were intent on taking action to straighten things up. It was also very clear that they would be SILENT NO MORE!!
